By purchasing, accessing, or using products and services from Ubo Technology LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not purchase or use our products.
2. Product Description and Target Audience
Developer-Focused Products
Our products are open-source hardware development kits designed specifically for developers, engineers, makers, and technically skilled individuals. These products are NOT intended for general consumer use and require technical expertise to assemble, configure, and operate safely.
Technical Knowledge Requirement
By purchasing our products, you acknowledge and represent that you:

Possess the necessary technical knowledge and skills to safely assemble electronic hardware

Understand the risks associated with electronic assembly and operation

Have experience working with development boards, APIs, and technical integrations

Can troubleshoot technical issues independently or with community support
Kit Assembly Required
All products are sold as assembly kits requiring user assembly. Products are not sold as finished, ready-to-use devices.
3. Third-Party Service Integration
API Keys and External Services
Our products may support integration with third-party services through user-provided API keys. You are responsible for:

Obtaining your own API keys from third-party service providers

Agreeing to and complying with each third-party service's terms of service and privacy policies

Any costs, fees, or charges associated with third-party services

We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party services or their terms.
4. Warranty and Limitation of Liability
Limited Warranty
We provide a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase that covers:

Components that are defective upon receipt
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty DOES NOT cover:

Damage occurring during user assembly or disassembly

Damage from improper installation, use, or handling

Damage from modifications, alterations, or unauthorized repairs

Damage from normal wear and tear, accidents, or misuse

Damage from power surges, environmental factors, or acts of nature

Issues arising from user assembly errors or techniques

Compatibility issues with third-party services or software

Consequential or incidental damages
Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period with proof of purchase and detailed description of the defect. We will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or refund defective components.
5. Open Source Licensing
Hardware and Software Licensing
Our products include open-source hardware designs and software components subject to various open-source licenses. By using our products, you agree to comply with all applicable open-source license terms, which may include requirements for attribution, sharing modifications, or other obligations.

Specific license information for each component is provided with the product documentation and source code repositories.
6. User Responsibilities
Safe Assembly and Operation
You are responsible for:

Modifications and Customization

All modifications are at your own risk and void the warranty

You assume full responsibility for any modified devices

7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
The Company's total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses

Damages resulting from assembly errors or user modifications

8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

Any harm caused by devices you have assembled or modified
9. Orders and Payment
Order Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion.
Pricing and Payment

Crowdfunding orders are subject to platform-specific terms
Shipping and Risk of Loss

No Returns for Assembled Products
Once you begin assembly, products cannot be returned unless covered by warranty for manufacturing defects.

These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
